Al Hilal Book Historic World Club Final Place

Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal defeated  Brazil’s Flamengo 3-2 to qualify for the final of the 2023 FIFA World Club Cup.

Al Dawsari gave Al Hilal an early lead in the third minute from the penalty spot.

Pedro brought Flamengo back into the game few minutes later.

The Brazilian team were reduced to 10 men when Gerson conceded a penalty and was sent off, Al Dawsari converted again from the spot to make it 2-1 for the Saudi team.

Vietto made it 3-1 in the second half before Pedro reduced the deficit for Flamengo to end the match 3-2 in favour of Al Hilal.

Flamengo became only the sixth Copa Libertadores champions not to advance to the final of the competition.

Al Hilal are the first Saudi club to reach the final of the FIFA World Club Cup.

The Saudi club will face the winner between Real Madrid and Al Ahly in the final on Saturday in Rabat, Morocco.
