NPFL Champions Rivers United suffered their first defeat of the season after going down 2-1 against Doma United.

Ndaissi opened the scoring for Rivers United in the 25th minute.

Usman restored parity for Doma United five minutes later before scoring the winning goal 18 minutes from time.

Akwa United earned a well-deserved 3-1 win over Remo Stars at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium.

Cyril Osilema put the hosts in the lead from the penalty spot in the fifth minute.

Qudus Akanni brought Remo Stars back into the game in the 24th minute.

Uche Collins scored Akwa United’s second goal on the stroke of halftime.

Andy Okpe was sent off for Remo Stars in the 55th minute for two bookable offences.

Remo Stars frustrating evening ended with an own goal when Olalere Segun diverted into his own net to make it 3-1 for Akwa United.

Chukwuemeka Obioma scored two goals to help Enyimba to a 2-0 win over El Kanemi Warriors.

In Ibadan, Shooting Stars earned a 2-0 win over Nasarawa United.
