Al Nassr coach Rudi Garcia has put the blame on Cristiano Ronaldo after losing 3-1 to Al-Ittihad in the Saudi Arabia Cup semi final.

Ronaldo failed to score for the second game in a row in the encounter.

He was guilty of missing a clear-cut chance when he was sent clean on goal in the first half.

Ramarinho put Al-Ittihad ahead in the 15th minute, before Abderrazak Hamdallah added the second goal before half-time.

Talisca reduced the deficit for Al Nassr in the 67th minute.

Mohannad Al-Shanqeeti made it 3-1 in the 90th minute to send Al-Ittihad into the final of the Saudi Cup.

Garcia believes Ronaldo’s miss change the course of the game.

“One of the things that changed the course of the game was Cristiano Ronaldo’s missed opportunity in the first half,” Sport Bible quoted Garcia as saying.

“I congratulate Al-Ittihad. They presented a much better first half than us, and we played a good second half, but unfortunately we were not able to adjust the result.”

Ronaldo will be hoping to end his mini drought when Al Nassr takes on Al Fateh on February 3rd in the Saudi Arabia Professional League.
