Al Hilal will be representing Asia in the competition which is billed to hold from February 1-11 in Morocco.

Ighalo is confident that Al Hilal can go all the way against the likes of Flamengo and Real Madrid.

He was part of the Al Hilal side that finished fourth in the 2022 FIFA World Cup after losing to Chelsea in the  semi final.

The former Manchester United striker is drawing inspiration from Morocco’s impressive performances at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

“Everything is possible in football. Nowadays you can’t predict what’s going to happen. If you work hard and fight hard on the field of play you can do anything. Look at Morocco at the World Cup, for instance,” Ighalo told FIFA website.

“Nobody gave them a chance. They got to the semi-final and they almost got to the final. I believe Al Hilal can fight and get to the final and win it, because in football it’s possible to do anything when you work hard and believe in yourself.”

Ighalo and his Al Hilal teammates will battle it out with the likes of Real Madrid,   Flamengo, Auckland City, Seattle Sounders and Wydad  Casablanca.
