Edo State Universal Basic Education Board has launched the EdoBEST@Home online learning platform to help students stay engaged during the long holidays. EdoBEST@Home is an online learning platform that provides children with lessons and teacher support during the holidays to ensure that children are engaged with mind-stimulating activities while at home.

Parents who have children in EdoBEST schools can access the classes which are available on Whatsapp when they click on the classroom links which will be sent to their phones by Edo SUBEB. The links lead the parent directly to the WhatsApp virtual classrooms where the children have unlimited access to learning materials. Educational materials are also available on the Edo SUBEB website for free download and use.

Additionally, parents can help their children take the mobile interactive quiz which is available when they send 0 to +23417006147.

Efficient teachers will be in charge of the virtual classrooms, monitoring progress and providing support where needed to help coach the students through the lessons. Parents are encouraged to help their children join the classrooms by allowing them to use their smartphones to access classes.

EdoBEST@Home as an EdTech solution will ensure a rise in teacher-pupil contact time as well as ensure children have access to an array of literary resources that will be beneficial to their development.
