Security officers on Thursday in Onitsha physically assaulted the General Overseer of Mountain of Holy Ghost Intervention and Deliverance Ministry, Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere otherwise known as Odumeje as they demolished his church.

The security agents, attached to Anambra State Ministry of Environment, pushed the preacher around, slapping him in the process, when he tried to stop them from demolishing parts of his church.

The church, located around Nwagene, Fegge Onitsha, is one of the numerous buildings the Anambra State Government marked for demolition.

The state governor, Professor Charles Soludo had in earlier broadcasts, informed Anambra people that some buildings located by water channels will be demolished to allow free flow of water across the cities.

Odumeje’s Church building was among the buildings early earmarked for demolition for falling short of the Anambra building plan.
