Kano, May 22, 2022 (NAN) The Emir of Rano in Kano State, Alhaji kabiru Muhammad-Inuwa, has urged parents, guardians and stakeholders to give priority attention to the education of children, to make them good citizens for meaningful contributions to the society and guarantee a better future.
This is contained in a statement by the Zonal Information Officer of Rano Emirate, Nasiru Habu-Faragai and released to newsmen on Sunday in Kano.
The Emir was reported to have spoken at the graduation of 67 students of Madarasatu Mu’awiyati bin sufyan litahfeezul Qur’anic Islamiyya, Rano.
He observed that it was difficult for the child to grow well and become a responsible adult without quality education and strict guidance from parents.
According to the statement, “education is undoubtedly the hub of human development. Qur’anic School was established to make a landmark in the total upbringing of the children, especially in Islamic tradition, to make a distinction in their lives and inculcate in them the Islam doctrines.
“True greatness of man or woman depends genuinely on the right start early in life and early exposure to learning”.
The emir commended the founder of the
Qur’anic school and for graduating 67 students in the maiden ceremony, saying there was the need for teachers of the Islamiyya school to ensure hygeine and provide adequate security for the pupils.
The emir, who also performed the inauguration of the school, prayed Almighty Allah to bless those who contributed to its development.
He assured the school of the Emirate Council’s support in the teaching and learning process, and encouraged the students to double their efforts in acquiring Western and Islamic knowledge.
The Director of the school, Malam Dayyabu Maigida Chakwaya, said the school was established in 2016 with 25 students, but had grown to have over 500 students.
He said it had seven classroom blocks, toilets, office and other social amenities.
He thanked the emir for attending and blessing the school and the state government for boosting teaching and learning processes in the state.
The founder of the school, Alhaji kasseem Alhami, thanked the parents and guardians for bringing their wards to the institution and urged them not to relent in supporting the education of their children.
Alhami assured their investment in the children would be greatly rewarded, in no distant future.
He commended the parents, guardians, staff and students for their determination to continue striving for the best for the children’s welfare.
He assured that he would remain committed to providing the enabling environment conducive for teaching and learning.
The founder also congratulated the graduands for successfully completing their academic activities and wished them a brighter future in all their academic pursuits.
