Katsina APC governorship aspirant pledges to boost agriculture

Katsina, May 18, 2022 Alhaji Umar Masanawa, a gubernatorial aspirant on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Katsina State has pledged to boost agriculture if he become the next governor of the state.

Masanawa stated this in an interview with newsmen in Katsina on Wednesday.

He said that as an agricultural economist, he would bring his wealth of experience to bear, if he is elected as governor of the state.

According to him, a very high technology will be introduce in farming in the state.

“Where farmers use to farm and get only four bags of grains, with the new technology, I will implore farmers, they will get 20 bags of grains, just within a very small portion of land.

“I will bring experts that will teach the farmers the new innovations in the development of agriculture,” he said.

The governorship aspirant also pledged to create job opportunities for the teaming youths in the state.

“This will not only go a long way in reducing poverty and idleness, but will reduce criminalities and insecurity across the state,” he said.
