Rangers International’s Achibong happy to return from scary injury

Enugu, May 14, 2022 Rangers International FC of Enugu sensational midfielder, Eso Achibong, says he is happy to have returned to the game he loves after a lengthy injury nightmare.

The club’s Media Officer, Norbert Okolie, told newsmen in Enugu on Saturday that the midfeilder was happy to have marked his comeback with a goal against Heartland FC.

Okolie said Achibong spent six months on rehabilitation after he went under the doctor’s knife to correct a career-threatening injury he got towards the end of last season.

He quoted Achibong as saying: “I really have to thank God for His grace in helping me get back on the field, playing again and scoring goals.

“Indeed, I am very happy and it’s my hope to contribute positively towards helping the team achieve our set target for the season”.

Achibong appreciated his team mates, coaches and management for their show of love and concern during his recovery and rehabilitation.

He said: “I must say I am overwhelmed with the display of love and concern from my team mates, coaches and management team at the most challenging time of my career.

“They stood by me, which gave me courage to overcome and return to the game I love and I hope to repay their love with more quality display on the pitch
