Dutse, May 15, 2022 Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, on Saturday, was in Dutse to meet with All Progressives Congress (APC) delegates from Jigawa, ahead of the party’s primary elections.
The vice president, who arrieved the venue of the meeting at Three Star Hotel, Dutse, about 3.00p.m., departed for Abuja around 6.00 p.m.
Osinbajo told newsmen after the meeting that it was to woo the delegates to vote for him to become APC’s Presidential candidate in the primary election.
He reiterated his determination to address insecurity, education and infrastructure- related issues, among others, if elected President in 2023.
Naija247news reports that Osinbajo returned to Abuja shortly after the delegates’ meeting, as Gov. Muhammad Badaru, his Deputy, Umar Namadi, and the Emir of Dutse, Nuhu Muhammad Sanusi, were not in town.
The vice president, however, expressed appreciation to the people and members of APC in Jigawa for the overwhelming reception.
