Yola, Dec. 4, 2020 The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) in Adamawa has trained no fewer than 627 persons on basic business training for small scale enterprises.

Speaking at the end of the three-day training on Friday in Yola, Mr Kenneth Maigida, NDE resource person, urged the participants to translate the knowledge they acquired into practice for a successful business.

He said “the aim of the training is to avail participants with the knowledge on how to access the CBN/NIRSAL Micro Finance loan”
which can only accessed through a good business plan.

Maigida called on the participants to understand that the fund, which has a seven year tenor with nine per cent interest, was not free, hence the need to do the needful for a successful business.

He, therefore, advised them to do a thorough research on their identified business, before investing their resources so as to avoid failure.

Malam Abubakar Dahiru, a participant, thanked the Federal Government for introducing such a programme that would improve the socio-economic development of the country, saying that the training exposed him to many ideas on how to make his business successful.

Hadiza Muhammad, another participant, who intends to do poultry farming, said that she was exposed to how to plan the business for more profits, adding that the loan, when granted, will help her employ youths to ensure good management of her farm.
