GOC tasks officers, soldiers on asset declaration, code of conduct

Enugu, Nov. 9, 2020 Maj.-Gen. Lasisi Adegboye, General Officer Commanding (GOC), 82 Division of the Nigerian Army, has tasked officers and soldiers on the need for periodic asset declaration, as expected from public officers.
Adegboye stated this while declaring open the Nigerian Army Code of Conduct Bureau workshop for officers and soldiers in the Division in Enugu on Monday.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the workshop was organised by the Nigerian Army, in collaboration with the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) under the Presidency.
The GOC said it was mandatory for the personnel of the Nigerian Army to abide by the code of conduct of public service as well as regimental professionalism.
According to him, the workshop is aimed at enlightening the officers and soldiers in the division on their areas of responsibility (AOR) on asset declaration and code of conduct.
“I am delighted that the division is hosting this one-day workshop, which is in line with the directive of the Chief of Army Staff.
“I enjoin participants from formations and units within the division to approach the training with all the seriousness it deserves,’’ he said.
Naija247news reports that the workshop was attended by the representative of the Chief of Army Standard and Evaluation, Brig.-Gen. E. J. Ejeh; the Chief of Staff, 82 Division, Brig.-Gen. G. O. Omoregbe and the division’s Training Officer, Brig.-Gen. J. C. Ogbonna, among others.

Also in attendance were representatives of the Code of Conduct Bureau.
