Malam Muhammad Bello, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to Gov. Tambuwal, said this in a statement on Friday in Sokoto.
Bello said that Wike made the commendation while inaugurating a new water scheme project in Bodinga Local Government Area of the state.
He said that Wike also performed the foundation laying ceremony of township road project in Sokoto metropolis, and a 950-bed capacity Sokoto State University Teaching Hospital (SOSUTH).
The statement quoted Wike as commending Tambuwal for the construction of the Sokoto State High Court of Justice complex, which had reached an advanced stage.
“Tambuwal is a dedicated democrat who works conscientiously to produce results and rarely talk about his achievements.
“With the provision of water in rural areas, Tambuwal has been able to solve the problem of cholera disease.
“The construction of the Waziri Abbas Road in the metropolis when completed will ease traffic congestion and improve economic activities of the area.
“Tambuwal is honest and up to the task, what we saw in the state was a clear testimony of his good leadership qualities,” Wike said in the statement, and urged people of the state to support the governor to enable him to move the state forward.
The statement further quoted Sen. Ali Ndume, Chairman, Senate Committee on Army, and describing Tambuwal as a good leader.
Ndume noted that he knew and worked with Tambuwal for the past 20 years, adding that: “It is more practical to praise somebody in public than do so in private.
“My dear Sokoto people, Tambuwal is a trustworthy person just like Wike here,” he added.
“Historically; the people of Gwoza, where I hail from, have had a long standing relationship with the late Sardauna of Sokoto, Sir Ahmadu Bello and the Sokoto Caliphate, and that relationship still subsist,” Ndume was quoted as saying in the statement.
