Kano, Nov. 2, 2020 ‎Gov. Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State has condoled with family of Alhaji Haruna Ungogo over the demise of the former Nigerian Ambassador to Jordan on Sunday in Abuja.

The governor, in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Abba Anwar, on Monday in Kano, described the death of the former diplomat as a great loss to the state and the country as a whole.

“We received, with shock, the death of one of the illustrious sons of our state, whose patriotic posture for his state and the country was incomparable.

“We will really miss a great citizen, who stood firmly in the service of his state and instituted discipline and utmost service to humanity when he was Secretary to the State Government, which earned him respect.

“It was his sterling qualities, as a good citizen, that informed his last appointment as the Nigerian Ambassador to Jordan, before his demise.

“Apart from exhibiting sterling qualities as SSG, he was also exceptional when he was Commissioner for Finance and Rector of Kano State Polytechnic,” he said.

The governor urged the family of the deceased to continue to pray for him.
Ganduje also prayed Allah to reward all the good deeds of the deceased and forgive all his shortcomings
