Badagry (Lagos State), Oct. 26, 2020 The management of Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) on Monday urged community leaders within its network to protect electrical facilities in their domains against vandalism.

Mr Godwin Idemudia, the General Manager, Corporate Communications Unit, EKEDC made the appeal in a statement in Lagos.

“Our attention has been drawn to the increased trend of vandalism due to the fall out of the present situational in the country.

“We are terribly concerned and remain in solidarity with our fellow citizens of Lagos State over the recent wave of damage to lives and property.

“It is on this note that we are calling on all well- meaning Community Development Committee leaders, Community Development Associations, Youth leaders, and customers to partner with us.

“We are appealing to them to support our efforts in protecting all EKEDC facilities within their communities.

“Destruction of these facilities will bring hardship which could put all of us in long term darkness.

“We thank you for your usual cooperation and support as we promise to continue to serve you better,” he said.
