Police in Jigawa foiled suspected armed robbery operation – spokesman

Dutse, Oct. 22, 2020 The Jigawa Police Command said it foiled a suspected armed robbery operation in Ringim Local Government Area of the state on Wednesday.
SP Abdu Jinjiri, the command’s Spokesman, confirmed the development to newsmen in Dutse on Thursday.
“On Oct. 21 at about 3:50 p.m., the Police in Ringim LGA received a distress call that some hoodlums, armed with dangerous weapons, have blocked Chaichai-Dutse road.
“On receipt of the information, the police rushed to the scene and on sighting the police, the hoodlums took to their heels,” he said.

Jinjiri said the suspects left behind a motorcycle they allegedly robbed from one Danliti Sama’ila who was found in his pool of blood.

He said that the victim was rushed to hospital for treatment by the police.

According to the spokesman, the police is making efforts to arrest the fleeing suspects, while investigation is ongoing.
