Lagos, Oct. 9, 2020 The Youth Sports Federation Of Nigeria (YSFON) has finalised arrangement towards improving the technical ability of grassroots coaches in Nigeria through the Train-The-Trainer Football (TTT) Coaching Clinic.
The YSFON National Secretary, Patrick Okpavuerhe, on Friday told newsmen that YSFON is highly committed towards adding value to grassroots coaching in the country.
Okpavuerhe said that the coaching clinic is an important ingredient in the life of the coaches, since their efforts are the tonic young footballers need to excel in their chosen career.
The programme, according to Okpavuerhe, will hold in Nigeria’s North West from 26 to 29 of October and in the North East from on 3 and 4 of November.
North Central will hold theirs on 9 November; 16 to 19 November in South-West and on 23 and 24 of November the programme will be rounded off with events in the South East.
In his reaction, the YSFON President, Dr Nasir Yusuf Gawuna, said the TTT is part of the 2020 programme of activities as approved by the Central Working Committee of the Federation in Kano.
He added that the programme will also be taken to the the six geopolitical zones of the country soon.
Gawuna said the Clinic is basically to equip Nigerian Coaches in the grassroots with modern techniques and effective knowledge on robust talent hunt and management..
All Zonal Vice Presidents and State Chairmen of YSFON have been directed to choose formidable venues, especially centers with fully equipped facilities like Stadia, good pitches and decent accommodation for the programme.
According to Gawuna, participants will be presented with certificates at the end of the three-month event.
