Taraba PDP Chairman says party right platform for development

Jalingo, Oct. 2, 2020 The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in Taraba, Rev. Kelfas Agbu, on Friday described the party as the right platform for development of the state and the country.

Agbu, who disclosed this in an interview with newsmen in Jalingo, noted that the party under his leadership was operating as a family where every member was well accommodated and cared for.

He explained that the care for every member of the state was necessary to enable them to contribute to the development of the society.

According to him, those who left the PDP before my emergence as the chairman will soon find their ways back to be accommodated in the party.

Agbu, who emerged as the new chairman recently, explained that it was normal for politicians to move here and there, when elections were around the corner saying, however, that the congress that produced him had members of the party in agreement.

“The PDP in the state is a united family at the moment; there are no issues among us that can threaten our chances as a ruling party in the state.

“Those who left the party during the general election in search of positions elsewhere will soon return because PDP is the right place to be in the state,” he said.

Agbu also noted that the resounding victory of the party in the recent governorship election in Edo was a pointer to the fact that people were becoming more aware that PDP was the right place for them.

The chairman, who congratulated the people of Edo on the peaceful conduct of the election, urged the people of Ondo to emulate their Edo counterparts for a peaceful society.

Agbu also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), and security agencies for a successful outing in Edo, saying PDP would always win in a free, fair and peaceful election in the country.
