Enugu, Sept. 30, 2020 The Commissioner of Police in Enugu State, Mr Ahmad Abdurrahman, has promised that the command will provide adequate protection during and after the Independence Day celebration in the state.

Abdurrahman made the promise in a statement issued on Wednesday in Enugu by the command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Daniel Ndukwe.

He advised residents to be law-abiding and vigilant over the things happening in their neighbourhood.

“I have directed the maximum deployment of the command’s operational and intelligence assets,” Abdurrahman said.

He charged all the Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers and Heads of Operational and Tactical Departments to be dutiful and proactive to reduce crimes and criminality.

He further urged residents of the state to promptly report suspected criminals and acts of criminality to the nearest police station.
