Nigerian Breweries Plc Board Meets for Q3 Results, Begins Closed Period


The Board of Nigerian Breweries Plc will meet in Lagos on Thursday, October 29, 2020, to consider among other things, the Company’s unaudited financial results for the period ended September 30, 2020 (the “Q3 Results”).

“We hereby notify The Nigerian Stock Exchange (“The Exchange”) and the investing public that a meeting of the Board of Directors has been scheduled for Thursday, 29th October 2020.

“An item on the agenda for the meeting is the consideration and approval of the Unaudited Financial Statements of Nigerian Breweries Plc for the third quarter (nine months) ending 30th September, 2020.”

“Further, please be informed that Nigerian Breweries Plc’s Closed Period will commence on Tuesday, 29th September, 2020 and will continue until the next day after the said Unaudited Financial Statements are submitted to The Exchange.”

Nigerian Breweries recently released its Q2’20 results, reporting a 17.5% q/q slump in topline to ₦68.7 billion. Despite a better than expected performance amid a significantly tougher operating environment, the weaker Q2 performance took H1’20 Revenue to ₦151.9 billion, a 10.8% step-down from its H1’19 performance.
