Lagos, Sept. 25, 2020 Alhaji Ganiyu Egunjobi, the Executive Chairman of Agege Local Government, has laid a foundation for the construction of a Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Ajegunle Community, Ward ‘G’, Agege LG

In Somolu, Mr Abdul-Hammed Salawu, the Executive Chairman of the Local Government, on Friday also embarked on widening of drains in flood prone areas in the council area.
According to him, proactive measures are being put in place to combat the issues of flooding in the area.
“We have embarked on further widening of drainage at Elediye and Sunday Street, in ensuring appropriate flow of water within the channels and making the roads to be motorable.
“As part of the plans to achieve the avowed intents, as been done in other areas in the community, the drainage channels are also being expanded to make the pathway big enough to ease waterflow.
“Among other areas in which the same process was carried out relentlessly to combat flood, as supervised by our councillors include Oguntolu, Apata, Morocco and Bajulaiye roads,” he said.
The council boss added that the health officials in the local government had not relented on bringing those who were not disposing their refuse properly to book.
“Those who have their septic tanks leaking or engaging in activities blocking drainage will be prosecuted.
“Our officers and prosecutors are on top of their job and we are ready to prosecute anyone found wanting,” he said.
