Aaagba (Osun), Aug. 10, 2020 Gov. Gboyega Oyetola of Osun has described infrastructural development as a vital tool to economic diversification and the vehicle for socio-economic development.

Oyetola said this at the inauguration of the rehabilitation of 13.15km Aagba township road in Boripe Local Government Area of the state on Thursday.

The governor, represented by Mr Wole Oyebamiji; the Secretary to the State Government, said that good roads are crucial to the prosperity and well being of the people.

“Our goal is to spread amenities, including roads to every village and in the long run provide opportunities for the people, eliminate crime and unemployment.”

Oyetola, who noted that the road would be completed in three months, said it would be done through direct labour.

The governor said his administration would continue to deliver roads that meet best practices in terms of quality and enduring architecture that meets the environment.

” We shall not relent as a government in our efforts to continue to provide opportunities and facilities for our people.

” We believe the prosperity of Osun lies in the ability of all its people to be gainfully engaged and become channels of prosperity and development to the state,” Oyetola said.
