Abuja, Sept. 10, 2020 The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Cross River North Senatorial bye-election, Dr Stephen Odey, has pledged to redefine representation at the senate, if elected.
Odey made the promise while speaking with journalists during his visit to finalise his documentation at the PDP National Secretariat in Abuja on Thursday.
He promised that if he was elected “Ogoja Senatorial District will never remain the same again’’, saying the people should expect the best.
“My people should expect the best.
“This is the time we are going to redefine representation at the national assembly.
“Cross River North will never remain the same in terms of representation at the national assembly.’’
Odey commended Gov. Ben Ayade, describing him as ‘super delegate’ for the confidence reposed in him (Odey).
“I want to thank the governor, my super delegate and every other delegate at the primary election for trusting me with the party’s ticket.
“I also want to thank the PDP national leadership for affirming my candidature,’’ he said.
Odey urged every other contestant to support his candidature to ensure victory for the party come Oct. 31.
“I sincerely wish to extend the olive branch to my co-contestants. Sheath your swords. There can only be one winner.
“I have always supported you, now is the time to support me.
“Come let us work together; it’s a family affair and the task ahead demands unity and stronger togetherness.’’
