Ekiti council boss pledges to run inclusive administration

Ikole-Ekiti (Ekiti state), Sept. 7, 2020 (NAN) The Chairman, Ikole Local Government Area of Ekiti, Mr Sola Olominu, has pledged to run an all inclusive administration that will carry all citizens along.

Olominu gave the assurance in an interview with Newsmen on Monday in Ikole -Ekiti.

He gave the assurance that his administration would revolve around transparency, ‎integrity and accountability which, he noted, would bring dividends of democracy to the people.

“I want to assure my people in Ikole Local government that I will run an open administration which will cater for their needs.

“I am determined to improve the infrastructure by improving the road networks which will enable farmers to bring their farm produce from their farms easily to the market.

“The Youth of the local government will also be empowered on how to become employers of labour instead of relying on white collar jobs.

“Agriculture is also one of the major areas where we intend to empower our youth on how to become mechanised farmers because we really want them to know more about mechanised farming.

“I am also planning to set up a social security scheme, especially for the elderly ones, who do not have any means of livelihood.”

The chairman expressed the hope that his administration would achieve all the laudable programmes during his tenure.

He, however, charged the ‎local government staff members to be diligent and hard working to enhance the good works of his administration.
