Forum passes vote of confidence on Gov. Sule

Lafia, Sept. 3, 2020 (NAN) A forum, “The 9 wards Progressive Forum”, in Lafia Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, has passed a vote of confidence on Gov. Abdullahi Sule for delivering the much needed dividends of democracy to the people

The group also passed vote of confidence on two of it members, Mohammed Alkali and Abdullahi Angibi, members representing Lafia North and Lafia Central Constituencies respectively at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly over their leadership qualities.

Mr Ibrahim Arikya, the Chairman of the Forum gave the vote of confidence during a meeting with Alkali and Angibi at the Assembly Complex in Lafia on Thursday.

Arikya, who is also the Speaker, Lafia Local Government Legislative Council said that the votes of confidence on Sule and their representatives at the state legislature was necessary after careful assessments on their leadership styles.

The forum’s Chairman said the group was formed in order to mobilise support for APC led administration in order to enjoy more dividends of democracy.

“We are here to familiarise with you and to inform you that this forum was formed in order to mobilise support for the APC led government.

“Also to promote unity and peaceful co-existence among ourselves and our neighbours.

“Governor Abdullahi Sule and the two of you we are really proud of you. You are doing well. We are okay with your quality representations.

“It is in view of this that we are passing a vote of confidence on Gov. Abdullahi Sule and you. Please keep the flag flaying,” he said.

Also speaking, Alhaji Ibrahim Masalachi, a stakeholder in the forum appreciated their representatives for embarking on good projects aimed at bettering the lives of the people of the area.

He urged the two lawmakers to remain focused while assuring of their support to enable them succeed in their activities.

Responding, Angibi (APC- Lafia Central) appreciated the forum for the visit and assured them of their total support to enable them succeed.

“We have no reason not to support you, let’s continue to unite, support Gov. Abdullahi Sule’s administration in order to enjoy more dividends of democracy,” he said.

Angibi, who is the Chairman, House Committee on Public Account also assured of an effective representation as well as to lobby for projects to Lafia Local government for the benefit of all.

On his part, Alkali (APC-Lafia North) also assured the forum of his full support to enable them succeed.

“We are happy for your visit as we will only understand ourselves when we meet like this.

“As APC family, we are one, let continue to support Gov Abdullahi Sule, mobilise our people to support his administration for us to enjoy more dividends of democracy,” he said.

Alkali, who is the Chairman, House Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, commended Sule for tackling the security challenges facing communities across the state.

“Let us continue to pray for our governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule, he is doing well in all sectors of the economy, especially in the area of security through the deployment of military to Lafia and other Local government areas,” he said.

The lawmaker further urged the forum to continue to preach the gospel of APC while reassuring of his determination to better their lots for development to thrive.

Naija247news reports that those in attendance include the former member representing Lafia North Constituency, Hon Adamu Sule, councilors, other politicians, youths and women.
