FCT Muslim Pilgrims’ Board calls for early completion of Head Office

Abuja, Aug. 19, 2020 The FCT Muslim Pilgrims’ Board has called for the early completion of its permanent office complex located in Gudu district of the Federal Capital City.

The Public Relations Officer, Muhammad Lawal, in a statement in Abuja on Wednesday ,said the Director of the board, Malam Muhammad Danmallam made the call when he led management team to inspect the project.

Naija247news reports that project is being executed by the Department of Public Building of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA).

Danmallam noted the quality of the work and the level of work done which was aimed at accommodating staff of the board to carry out their official duties.

He assured the contractor handling the project of necessary support to facilitate prompt release of fund for the execution of the project in line with the desire of the FCTA.

He commended the FCT Minister of state, Dr Ramatu Aliyu, whose passion for the project ensured that the contractor was mobilised back to site after abandonment for many months due to lack of funding.

Danmallam called on the contractor to hasten in ensuring early completion of the project in the light of FCTA’s commitment towards the provision of working environment conducive for workers’ optimal performance.

Earlier, the contractor handling the project, Mr Ejike Amu, Chairman Berdotez Associate L.t.d, pledged to ensure speedy completion of the project without compromising quality with the prompt release of funds.

Amu explained that the contract was a five-storey building with offices, conference rooms, parking lot, mosque and other structures for the board.

The contract which was first awarded in 2011 was later reviewed and re-awarded in 2014 to serve as office accommodation for the board.
