Nigeria Stock Exchange ASI Revs by 0.51% on Nestle, GTBank Shares as NIBOR Moves in Mixed directions…


Today, the local bourse revved by 0.51% on sustained bargain hunting activity as Presidential candidates unveiled their policy documents ahead
of the 2019 general elections. Also, the Exchange recorded 27 gainers against just 5 losers with the Shares of Nestle Nigeria Plc and Guaranty
Trust Bank Plc lifting the NSE Consumer Goods and NSE Banking Sectors by 1.37% and 0.38% respectively. Hence, market capitalization added
N59.86 billion while year-to-date loss of the All Share Index declined to 15.74%. In the money market, NIBOR moved in mixed directions across
tenor buckets while NITTY rose for most maturities tracked amid sell pressure. However, OTC FGN Bonds moved in different directions across
maturities tracked while FGN Eurobonds rose for all maturities tracked amid renewed buy pressure.
