Court restrains APC from nullifying C’River congress

A High Court of the Federal Capital Territory has restrained the APC from nullifying the congress that produced Cross River State APC executive officers.
The presiding Judge, Justice O.A. Musa, also ordered that the APC, either by itself, any committee, privies by whatever name called or any organ of the party except the National Convention, was restrained from interfering, suspending or breaching the rights and privileges of the entire state executive officers or other local government or ward officers of the APC in Cross River State pending the determination of the substantive case in the originating summons.

The claimants in the motion are Sylvester Okpo, Cross River South Senatorial Vice Chairman; Eugenia Takon, Cross River State Ex-Officio 1; and Charles Asim, Cross River State Youth Leader, with the APC as the sole defendant.
The APC has, however, been given 14 days, from August 16, to enter its appearance and file its defence in the substantive suit and the case was adjourned to October 25.
