Nigeria imported 5.67bn litres of premium motor spirits in Q1 2018 – NBS

The petroleum products importation statistics for Q1 2018 reflected that 5.67 bln litres of premium motor spirits (PMS), 954.47 mln litres of automotive gas oil (AGO), 66.914 mln litres of household kerosene (HHK) and  5122.067 mln litres of aviation turbine kerosene (ATK) were imported into the country in Q1 2018.

The months of March 2018 recorded the highest volumes of premium motor spirits (PMS) imported into the country at 2.41 bln litres while the highest volume of automotive gas oil (AGO) and  household kerosene (HHK) were imported in February and January 2018 respectively.

Statewide distribution of truck-out volume for Q1 2018 showed that 4.89bn of premium motor spirits (PMS), 1.24 bln litres of automotive gas oil (AGO), 201.49 mln litres of household kerosene (HHK) and 150.81 mln litres

of aviation turbine kerosene (ATK) were distributed nationwide during the period under review.
