A Lufthansa flight which departed Lagos to Frankfurt in Germany made an emergency landing in Southern Algeria following an electrical snag, it was learnt today.

Hakeem Jimo, a media consultant to the airline confirmed to Daily Trust that a substitute aircraft would airlift the passengers to Frankfurt today (Monday).
According to him, the Pilot-in- Command had to land in the nearest aircraft when he discovered smell in the cockpit. This, he said, was in accordance with the standard and recommended procedure.
