Andres Iniesta bid farewell to Barcelona in an emotional press conference on Friday – but Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez were not in attendance.

Barcelona players, including Gerard Pique and Philippe Coutinho, were present at the packed event at the club’s training centre, but both Messi and Suarez were notable absentees.
However, Barcelona have confirmed that their two star players missed Iniesta’s big announcement due to ‘personal reasons’.
The club also confirmed that Messi and Suarez will be present for Iniesta’s official farewell next month.
