This, according to a statement from Verve International in Lagos on Thursday, will enable customers of the bank gain access to the numerous benefits of being a verve cardholder.

The benefits include: discounts across merchant stores nationwide, acceptance in many other African countries and a two-factor authentication system that guarantees maximum security for cardholders.

Speaking on the new partnership between Verve and Zenith Bank Plc, the CEO of Verve International, Mike Ogbalu said, “It is another milestone in expanding our services to the community and we are happy to be identified with Zenith Bank and its customers.”

“The goal is to ensure that a significant number of customers continuously benefit from using our cards and as such, partnerships like this are a critical part of our business goals,” he added.

It will be recalled that Verve gave out a discount of N500 for cardholders on every movie ticket bought with a Verve Card at Genesis, Filmhouse and Silverbird Cinemas in Lagos last February.

According to the company, this is just one of the many benefits that Zenith bank customers stand to enjoy by using their Verve cards for payments and other financial transactions.

Also, Verve International recently launched Paycode – a revolutionary solution that allows for cardless transactions at ATM and POS terminals.

“Verve remains the biggest payment card brand in the country and has rapidly penetrated across the African continent. Notably, it partners with 40 banks in Africa, with more than 30 million payment tokens in circulation,” the statement reads.
