He gave the order at the palace of Emir of Zamfara Alhaji Attahiru Muhammad Ahmad when he paid a condolence visit to the Emirate in Anka local government over the recent killings in Bawar Daji village.

Last Thursday, more 30 people were killed in Bawar Daji village in Anka local government area of the state bringing the total number of deadly raids the state witnessed in the past two weeks to two.

“The security operatives should not waste time to bring these criminals to judgement. Anyone caught with rifles or harbouring them should be executed. If we had to take guns, we would have done that. But we have different roles to play in issues that have to do with security,” he said.

According to him, nobody is allowed to hold arms and anyone caught with one should be killed. He said the security operatives should not waste time taking them to courts adding that it was a marching order from Mr. President and himself.

He said any traditional ruler caught harbouring criminals or involved himself in negotiations for ransom with kidnappers should be treated as armed bandit or kidnapper.

Governor Yari then proposed the possible relocation of communities sharing boundaries with forests where the criminals are hibernating.
