FREETOWN (Reuters) – Sierra Leone’s High Court on Monday vacated an injunction to delay a second round of the presidential election, which had been scheduled to take place on Tuesday, Justice Abdul Rahman Mansaray said.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!The court had stayed the run-off between Julius Maada Bio and Samura Kamara last week after a member of Kamara’s party alleged fraud, but the court said on Monday that the election “can go ahead as planned”.
It was not immediately clear if the commission would be able to organise the vote on Tuesday.
