Ekiti State Government said it has disbursed over N1 billion as housing and vehicle loans to workers since the inception of the Governor Ayodele Fayose administration.
The Chairman of the State Teaching Service Commission, Chief Abiodun Falayi, who made this known in Ado Ekiti in a statement on Tuesday said the government had also released another tranche of N190 million as housing and vehicle loans to 750 teaching and non-teaching staff of public secondary schoolsin the state.
He said 468 workers got amounts ranging from N100,000 to N300,000 depending on the beneficiary’s salary grade levels, from the tranche under the Lands/Housing loan scheme while another 283 personnel received amount ranging from N80,000 to N750,000 as vehicle loans also based on individual salary grade level.
Falayi assured that the welfare of workers in the state would be a continuous exercise in line with the commitment of the administration, adding that over 6,000 teaching and non-teaching staff of public schools in the State were recently promoted.
Falayi, who charged beneficiaries to judiciously utilize the loans, also stressed the need for workers to continually support the efforts of government to improve their welfare and develops the state.
