South Africa’s pump prices to increase in August


JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) – The retail price of petrol in South Africa will increase by more than 1.5 percent from Aug. 2, while the price of wholesale diesel will rise by 2.6 percent, the energy department said on Friday.

The price of petrol will rise by 19 cents to 13.05 rand per litre in the commercial hub of Gauteng province, while diesel will go up by as much 30 cents to 11.26 rand.
