Airtel The Voice Nigeria Season 2: The Real Battle Begins


The real battle of Airtel The Voice Nigeria Season 2 will begin on Sunday, July 30, after the Blind Audition came to a thrilling end last weekend.

Talents will be competing against a team member for a spot in the live shows. In this battle rounds, two contestants will perform one song but only one of them get to qualify for the next stage.

To prepare for the face-off, talents went through vocal and stage performance master classes with co-coaches Emmanuel “Bez” Idakula and Dare Art-Alade, popularly known as “Darey”.

Viewers are now looking forward to a more exciting contest between talents, hoping to see the best emerge as the competition heats up in The Voice Nigeria, sponsored by Airtel Nigeria, the smartphone network.

Contestants who made the 12-members team of #TeamPatoranking are: Afolayan Alabi, Annie Cedric, Blessing Isaac, Emmanuel Okafor, Favour Idugbe, Ogunyeni Itunu, Kessy Mbonu, Tama Nisa, Ebube Obioma, Emuejevoke Efiokpene, Chukwuemeka Chike-Ezekpeazu and Ese Urinrin.

#TeamTimi consists of Blessed Eke, Daniel Diongoli, Emmanuel Precious, Godwin Bada, Jahtel Ilem, Kendris Ologidi, Nwando Okoli, Victor Thompson, Sandra Osamor, sisters Tara and Bella, Gerald Agunwobi, Happiness Osasumwen and Grace Udoh.

While Bunmi Oshin, Chris Rio, Ifeoma Onu, Jahnomso Ilem, Joy Ebiem, Ogechi Ihenacho, Olanrewaju Omowa, Oluwale Olusi, Torisheju Ogbe, Kelvin Audu, Favour Johnson and Yimika Akinola makes up #TeamYemi.

And #TeamWaje consists of Amarachi Ugoeke, Daniel James, Isaac Aloma, Arewa Comfort, Glory Amanyi, Obichi Marshall, Paulyn Bob, Shapera Makepeace, Wilson Odini, Zora Julius, Chucks Aniebonam and Efezino Akpo.

We saw quite a number of talented singers during the auditions, with at least seven contestants wowing all the coaches and getting four chair turns.

One can only image how grand the battle stage will be. A positive side to it is that the coaches have a poach option, where they can poach talent from another coach.
