The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has so far disbursed N473bn under its intervention scheme, Commercial Agricultural Credit Scheme.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!The Deputy Governor of the bank, Alhaji Sulaiman Barau, made the disclosure yesterday in Kano at the commissioning of sorghum milling plant of the Northern Nigeria Flour Mills.
“From inception of the Commercial Agric Credit Scheme to date, 513 projects have benefitted from the scheme with disbursement of over N473bn,”he said.
Barau also said 604 projects had benefitted from the disbursement of over N382bn under the Small Medium Enterprises Refinancing Scheme.
The Kano State Governor, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, urged other companies to borrow a leaf from NNFM to enhance economic activities in the state and the country at large.
