Goodie Ibru resigns as the chairman of Ikeja hotels


Ikeja Hotel Plc announces the resignation of Mr. Goodie Ibru as its Chairman with effect from 17 February, 2017.

Statement released by the company revealed that Goodie Ibru will remain a non-Executive Director of the Company until 17 May, 2017 when he will finally retire from the Board.

Profile of Mr. Goodie M. Ibru

Mr. Goodie Minabo Ibru, OON, is a Principal Partner in the Law firm of G.M. Ibru & Co. Mr. Ibru serves as an Officer of the order of the Niger (OON). He serves as the Chairman of Tourist Company of Nigeria Plc, Ikeja Hotel Plc, Capital Hotels PLC and NEPAD Business Group. Mr. Ibru is an Honorary Consul of the Republic of Lithuania in Nigeria, Executive Vice President (West Africa Chapter) African Business Round Table and Vice President Lagos Chamber of Commerce.

He serves as the President of Council, Federation of Tourism Associations of Nigeria, Nigeria’s apex private sector tourism body. He served as the Chairman of the Board and Director of Niger Delta Exploration & Production PLC until June 21, 2016. He has been a Director of DN Tyre & Rubber Plc since March 19, 2002. He serves as a Director of Custodian And Allied Insurance Limited, Niger Delta Exploration & Production Plc, The Guardian Press Ltd. and Crusader General Insurance Plc.

He was a Council Member of The Nigerian Stock Exchange. He is a recipient of the national award of Officer, Order of the Niger (OON). He was called to the English Bar (Inner Temple) in 1966. Mr. Ibru graduated LLB (London) from the Holborn College of Law in 1965.
