Nigeria’s under-21 beach volleyball teams left Abuja for Egypt on Wednesday for the continental qualifiers for the 2017 Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB) World Championships in China.

The qualifiers will hold from Thursday to Monday in Cairo.

Maikano Adamu, Secretary-General of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF), told News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the team was made up of two male and two female players.

“The contingent is also made up of a coach and a referee,’’ Adamu said.

NAN reports that the contingent departed Abuja for Kaduna Wednesday morning to board an evening flight to Cairo.

The male players in the contingent are Obayemi Ogunsina and Hilland Simeon, while Amaka Orazulike and Jessica Teruase are the female players.

Samuel Timothy is the accompanying referee, while Ajilore Kayode is coach of the male and female teams.
