SEC Sanctions rattles Transcorp Board as Edozie resigns

The recent decision of the Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) to impose a ban for life on the directors of the BGL Group- Mr. Albert Okumagba the group Managing Director of BGL Group and his deputy, Mr Chibundu Edozie has created a ripple effect in other areas with the resignation of Edozie as one of Transcorp’s non-executive directors

The SEC had slapped a life ban for market infractions on the duo while they were also banned from ever holding office in any public company in the country.

Transcorp Plc announced his resignation through a regulatory filing with the NSE, signed by the conglomerates President/CEO Emmanuel N. Nnorom stating that Edozie had served in Non-executive capacity on the board of Transcorp Plc for five years.
