Alhaji Muhammadu Bako II, the Emir of Karshi and a first class traditional ruler in Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, is dead.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!His son, Alhaji Zubairu Mohammed, confirmed the death of the 76-year-old emir to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Karshi.
Zubairu said that the late monarch died in the early hours of Tuesday in his palace after a brief illness.
“Our emir, the promoter of peace and culture, died this morning after a brief illness.
“His death is heart breaking and painful but God gives life and takes it at will,” said the late monarch’s son.
He noted that the late emir contributed immensely to the development of Karshi Kingdom, the state and Nigeria during his life time.
According to him, the late emir , was a humble monarch with exemplary character, who ruled the Karshi Kingdom for 34 years.
NAN reports that the monarch’s burial has been slated for 1pm on Tuesday according to Islamic rites.
The late emir is survived by three wives and 31 children. (NAN)
