2015/2016 Glo League: Heartland Boosts Squad With 4 New Players

The club’s Media Officer, Solomon Onu, said that Heartland had made major changes to the team and was ready for the new season.

The Glo 2015/2016 league season will commence on Feb. 21.

Onu said that Emeka Achilona from Dolphins FC of Port Harcourt, Longi Obadiah from Elkanemi Warriors, Egor from Giwa and Adeleye Anukaye from Ifeanyi Ubah were the new signings.

“These are the major names we included in the team in order to improve our current squad.

“But we have also signed some young players that can mature into the main team.

“We hope to start the forthcoming season with a vibrant team,” he said.

Onu also said that the team was moving into closed camp at a neutral ground by the end of the week.

“We are going to begin camping latest by the end of this week and we are still in negotiation process with a South-South state.

”The team will either camp in Rivers, Edo or Cross River for the next season.

“Our first league match will be at home against El-Kanemi, we want to start the league on a good note, we are putting in everything into our preparation,’’ Onu said.
