In the enforcement of her fundamental human rights suit filed before the court, Olachi is also demanding N100million damages from the EFCC and its chairman, Ibrahim Lamorde.

She also wants the court to stop her prosecution by the anti-graft agency on the grounds that her detention and prosecution are illegal, unconstitutional and a great damage to her career.

Olachi was arrested by the officials of the EFCC on June 23 at the Peace Park Kubwa over Biometric Pension Contract Scam allegedly involving a former Head of Service (HOSF), Chief Steve Oronsaye and her boss, Dr. Abdulrasheed Maina in Abuja.

But in a suit No. FCT/ HC/CV/2407/2015 dated July 10 and filed by her lawyer, Wale Balogun, Olachi is asking the court to hold the that her detention since Tuesday, June 23 to Thursday July 2, constitutes a gross violation of her fundamental Human Rights as guaranteed under Section 33,34,35, 37 and 41 of the 1999 Constitution (as amended) and Articles 4, 5, 6 and 12 of the African Charter of Human and Peoples Rights (Ratification and Enforcement) Act Cap 10 Laws of the Federation.

The plaintiff further alleged that her detention was as an unlawful violation of her constitutional right, claiming that she was detained under a dehumanising condition in a single room with four strangers without access to members of her family.

She further claimed that she was subjected to the ordeal on the grounds that she allegedly refused to implicate her boss, Maina, in exchange for her freedom.

The plaintiff is further asking the court to hold that her unlawful arrest by the EFCC and detention for 10 days, confiscation of her properties, phones, cheque books and ATM card without informing her in writing within 24 hours is illegal and unlawful.

No date has been fixed for the hearing of the matter.
