Gombe State Commissioner for Agriculture Alhaji Dahiru Buba Biri has resigned to contest for the Gombe North senatorial seat in the forthcoming general elections.

He promised to help in promulgating laws that will affect the economy in terms of production, welfare of the people and agriculture, it given the mandate, adding that there are many things that the country needs that will give agriculture a greater role in the economy and make the sector a mainstay of the Nigerian economy.
Biri who contested with Dankwambo in the 2011 gubernatorial election, said though God did not give him the position, Governor Ibrahim Dankwambo is doing excellently well for the state, stressing that “we have no reason to even dream of getting into that position because whatever we wanted to do he is doing as much as we planned, infact even better.”
