SEC Declares Liberty Assets Management Illegal Operator


Arunna-OtehNigeria’s Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has issued a caveat on Liberty Assets Management Limited and said it’s not registered with the commission to transact any business in the Nigerian Capital Market (NCM).

‘’This is to notify the general public that Liberty Assets Management Limited is not registered by the Securities and Exchange Commission to carry out any transaction in the Nigerian Capital Market,’’ SEC said in a statement on its official website.

According to the apex capital market regulator, information available to it confirmed that Liberty Assets Management has been operating at No. 327 Oron Road, (upstairs) Opposite Akwaette Filling Station Uyo, and at Room 30, Ikot Ekpene LG Stall, by Old Stadium, Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State.

‘’Members of the Public are therefore warned to desist from carrying out any Capital Market transactions withLiberty Assets Management Limited,’’ SEC said.
