Nigerian Bourse Awaits SEC’s Approval for Muhammad Daggash’s Nomination/Election to National Council

The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) in a notice of its 53rd annual general meeting (AGM) on Tuesday announced its awaiting the approval of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on the nomination of Muhammad Daggash for election onto its national council.

The notice dated September 01, 2014 and signed by Tinuade Awe, council secretary at the Nigerian bourse announced the 53rd AGM has been scheduled for September 24, 2014 at the NSE’s event centre, Stock Exchange House, Lagos Nigeria.

Among the ordinary businesses to be discussed at the AGM include, the presentation of the report of the national council, the financial statement of the NSE as at December 31, 2013 and the report of the auditors.

Others are the election and authorisation of Muhammad Daggash, Umaru Kwaranga, Kayode Falowo, Michael Osime, Oluwole Abegunde, Dunama Balami and Oladipo Aina to the NSE’s National Council and to fix the remuneration of the Auditors.

While, the special business is to approve the remuneration of National Council Members.
