The Katsina State Government said on Sunday that it had released N255.5 million as retirement benefits to 47 directors affected by the new state’s scheme of service.

The government said this in a statement signed by the Senior Special Assistant to Gov. Ibrahim Shema on Press Affairs, Alhaji Lawal Matazu, and made available to newsmen in Katsina.
It said that all the affected officers were from the Local Government Service Commission who retired in 2013.
The statement also restated the commitment of the state government toward improving the welfare of civil servants for effective service delivery.
It urged workers to discharge their duties diligently to enable government deliver more dividends of democracy to the people
