Man in court for alleged theft of N310,000


Thwe police on Tuesday arraigned a man, Akeem Suara, 32, in  an Iyaganku Chief Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan for theft.

The prosecutor, Cpl. James Oriola, said alleged that  Suara stole N310, 000, property of  Sunday Adegbite of Malade area of Ibadan.

Oriola said that the accused committed the offence on Feb 4.

He said the offence contravened Section 383 and is punishable under section 390 (9) of the Criminal Code Cap.38, Vol. II, Laws of Oyo State 2000.

The accused pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The Chief Magistrate, Mrs Risikat Ebeloku-Mustapha, granted the accused bail in the sum of N100, 000 with one surety in like sum.

She adjourned the case till April 22 for mention.
