The President, after all was not wrong when some time ago he said some Boko Haram sympathizers are in government. There’s no better happening to confirm Mr. President’s suspicion than yesterday’s attempted jail break at the SSS HQ. There’s now no disputing the fact that the Boko Haram has sympathizers across government agencies.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Mrs. Marilyn Ogar, the spokesperson for the SSS, must have really thought she was sweet talking some daycare children when she told us the attempted jail break was as a result of a detainee, one detainee, over powering and disarming an SSS operative. The gist was that “one of the suspects attempted to disarm the operative by hitting him at the back of his head with his handcuff. His attempt to escape drew the attention of other guards at the facility that fired some shots to warn and deter others.” That is so lame.
We understand the gun battle lasted for about four hours with the SSS needing the support of the army and helicopters and that is as a result of one detainee disarming one operative who was serving him food? A detainee who was in handcuffs? How did that happen? We understand the operative went to serve the prisoner breakfast. Did the operative have to go in to serve the meal? Are meals not supposed to be passed underneath or something like that into prison cells? Did he go in with more than one gun, as that gun battle that lasted that long was not a battle with the security operatives and one man (with one gun), unless that man is Robocop. If there was more than one detainee in the gun battle, how did the other guys get guns to confront the army? They could not have had access to the SSS armoury except someone led them there of course.
Mrs. Ogar’s story does not add up and I am certain she knows a majority of Nigerians do not buy her story. That was poorly thought out.
Today, the toilet seat theory has surfaced. According to security sources one of the detainees was pressed and needed to go to toilet and was allowed to do same without being leg-chained. On getting to the toilet and finding the door locked, he “applied force and UPROOTED the toilet seat unknown to the operative who was standing outside.” When the detainee knocked the door to indicate that he had finished, the DSS operative opened the door only to have his head smashed with the heavy toilet seat. The detainee took his gun, opened fire on the other security operatives and plop plop plop…There is no need trying to flaw this theory. It is dead on arrival. Do your thing Nollywood; over to you.
This leaves us with just one option, that these guys were assisted from the inside. There are moles and snitches there. This did not just happen like that. This must have been well organized (thank God they failed). This must have been planned for days and that explains why it took that long to bring them down. This confirms that the president had been right all along, he’s not just had the courage to point them out. With what has just happened yesterday, it’s time to start rooting out the boko haram sympathizers we have in several agencies. The yellow house-SSS HQ is not so far from the presidential villa for crying out loud. That is the residence of the No. 1 citizen of Nigeria and this is unacceptable. What if they had succeeded in pulling this off? God forbid!
Boko Haram is for real. Boko Haram is all out for Nigeria and attempting to pull this off proves it. This is not some local police station in Maiduguri that was attacked for pete’s sake. Boko haram is here with us and sadly the blame games between the federal government and the Northern governors is not going to stop this menace. The self denial and lies to the public will not stop them either. The committee that is about to be set up to investigate this current attack is a waste of time as we know how committees operate in this clime. The time to act is now.
It is time to take the war with these infidels seriously because their latest move shows they are about to come at us more dangerously. It is time we started identifying these moles one way or the other and make them point out the ‘big fishes’(the carrot and stick approach comes into play here). It is important we act quickly before Boko Haram swallows us all.
Finally I wish the operatives who we understand were seriously injured as a result of this stand off yesterday, speedy recovery.
